The atelier in Via de Bardi, which overlooks Florence, is where Lorenzo Villoresi creates his tailor-made fragrances, amidst the scent of spices reminiscent of distant places and hundreds of small bottles containing unique essences.

Each “tailor-made” fragrance is the result of a direct exchange between the perfumer and the individual: desires, words and feelings are processed together and transformed into a perfume. Villoresi becomes a sort of Demiurge who, through his intellectual capacity and technical skills, can translate the essence of an ambition, dream or adventure into a fragrant product.

A perfume – says Villoresi – should provide a privileged insight into your own personal essence, a clue to your innermost thoughts and journeys of the soul; a door which can either be kept locked or left wide open, leading to opportunities, games and seduction”. Lorenzo Villoresi is an artist who through his perfumes can create unique and unrepeatable preparations for a select few, who will have the privilege of wearing his creations: perfumes that can sketch their own special and boundless universe; fragrances that can evoke or invent feelings, places or images or even lead to a new emotional dimension.

Important personalities have stepped into the Lorenzo Villoresi house: politicians, Arab princesses, actors, rock stars, film directors and authors, but also ordinary people who want to see their dream come true in the hands of the Florentine perfumer.
Villoresi’s career as a creator of perfumes began with these personalised fragrances, which earned him instant fame both at home and abroad. His was a passion which came into being during a study holiday in Cairo, during which he discovered the poetry and sensuality of a world where fragrances are considered an indispensable, sumptuous and mysterious element. Villoresi’s experience of the eastern world, so different to that of us Europeans, opened his eyes to the fascinating and intense universe of essences and scents.
